Howdy
Darters !!!
I
have lots of exhibitions booked over the next few months - (see the
"Calendar" page of this site for any near you,) and I would love to see
you at one of them. On Saturday 6 June I am in Kettering, at a signing
in Milton Keynes on the following day, in North Wales for a private
party on 12 June and South Wales for an exhibition on 13 June.
I
stood in at the last moment for Eric Bristow at a "Legends of the Oche"
evening, with Bobby and Lowey, in Redditch last month, and what fun we
all, including the audience had. Well done MC Wils too.
You may have seen from the Planet Darts website that the PDC held a golf
day in Northampton in May. I played with Europro Tour player Colin Roope
on the day - his game was a pleasure to behold. It was great to see all
my old mates from the PDC again, especially nice to see Wayne Mardle
getting back to fitness.

I
did an exhibition in Stanstead Abbotts in May, with Dave Dempsey on MC
duties. The highlight of the evening for me was to see Freddie Williams
on the chalks for one leg, looking fit and well after a very long
illness. Fred has now started to do presentations, and maybe one day
soon he will be back calling too.
The Eddy Cox Benefit Night in Tynemouth took place on Saturday. We had a
long drive to get there, (300 odd miles from Somerset) but it was really

..... It was especially nice to see many old friends, and to see
such generosity from my fellow pro darters.
The "LEGENDS" series for 2009 is
currently being organised, but the dates have been put back until later
in the year as Setanta TV have pulled out at the last minute. Our
promoters, Lee Henderson and Betfred, are in negotiations with other TV
companies for the rights. I will keep you advised.
I still
continue to put in the practice, with many games that you
can find on the SEWA website, in their Practice / Game Rules section of
