Below is a
report of a exhibition Bob did at the Britannia Inn in Truro, Cornwall on
Saturday 1st April 2006.
There
was a very good crowd who all enjoyed a great night of entertainment and
quality darts from ‘The Limestone Cowboy’.
Along
with the venues' own MC Tony White the night was a great success. Bob
played 16 players from the Small Cornish pub and as he did on his last
visit started the night with a maximum 180. Bob scored many more tons,
ton plus’ and maximum 180’s. There were many bull finishes and double
double check outs from Bob.
All 16
matches were played over a format of best of 3 legs of 501. Bob lost
only 4 legs during the entire evening.
Everyone went away very happy, many with signed photos of Bob. Officials
of the Britannia have said they would have no hesitation in booking Bob
for future exhibitions.
Below is a
report and some photos of a exhibition Bob did for Kevin Dunstan in Truro, Cornwall.
Bob played at the
Truro Railway Club, Cornwall on Saturday 15th January 2005. He played 6 players from
each of the three Railway teams, the Railway ‘A’, Railway ‘B’and the Railway
Sleepers.
Each player
played 1 leg of 801. It was the best crowd for an individual professional that
there has ever been in this Cornish hostelry.
All players had
their own nicknames and came on to their own walk-on music. Dave Clarke and Sky
Sports eat your heart out.
In the first half
Bob played Marcus Palmer, Simon Maker, Kevin Dunstan, Dave Delbridge, Keith
Richard, Frankie Webb, Justin Andrew, Tony White and Mike Waller. Bob remained
unbeaten and scored 4 x 180, 13 x 140 and 21 x 100+.
In the second
half Bob played Paul Yendle, Brian Dunstan, Trevor Martin, Alec Waller, Neil
Pope, Alan Williams, Chris Badcock and Wayne Wilkes. Again Bob never lost a leg
and scored 5 x 180, 7 x 140 and 24 x 100+.
In the leg
against Alan Williams Bob finished the 801 leg in 15 darts
(180,140,180,180,121).
It is thought that this could be a
record. Does anyone out there know otherwise, or can confirm what the record is
for one leg of 801 ?????
The winner of the
highest average was 18 year old Alec Waller (78.63).
It was a great
evening, enjoyed by packed pub.
Bob's agent for
the South-West, Kevin Dunstan said that Bob is a fantastic entertainer and will
have no hesitation in booking Bob for future exhibitions.
